“All the sweet tea in Carolina, All the sun that comes to dry up all the rain / All the mountain peaks in Colorado, They’re waiting there and Calling out our names..."
The current country music scene is like an all American Pie sliced up and spiced up in different ways. There is pop country, there is the horrid, vapidity of Bro Country, there is country Rap. There are hybrid forms but maybe the most pure is western country and country folk because it feels unadulterated and pure. This purity, whether you call it Americana or folk indie or folk country has everything that "All the Sweet Tea" by Texas bred, New York based singer songwriter Denitia brews up. A down home earnest quality, really pretty and really real, free from the country pop tropes of the day.
Inspired, steeped in the new normal of the pandemic, "All the Sweet Tea" draws from the isolation and not knowing like we all went through. The track as press notey stuff indicate: [encourages fans to savor every moment and to be true to themselves when deciding how to spend them. In the track, we learn that how we spend our time and the mindset in which we tackle life’s challenges is the only thing in life that we can truly control. At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, she and everyone else in the world was forced to slow down, which led to a keen awareness of what is actually important in life. With lyrics like “Time is ticking, like it always does. It flies right by, right over us” we feel the existentialism but also the gratitude that Denitia leads with every single day]
The sonics of "All the Sweet Tea" are so perfectly rendered and as produced by Brad Williams are fueled by a two step, blue grass cadence and bouncing bass as it soars full of late 70's folk tones, bending pedal steel sounds, a perky lead guitar break and, of course, Denetia's exquisite vocal timbre. She makes it sound so easy, she somehow can be the big sister, the best friend or the lover depending on which prism you view her embracing vocal countenance through.
Love this.

Denitia is a singer-songwriter who exemplifies American cultural enlightenment.
Born and raised outside Houston, Denitia’s southern heritage forms a canvas for her evolving musical portrait. As a child, she performed in church choirs, and taught herself to play piano and guitar from her family’s trailer in the woods. She carried those experiences with her as she made her way around the country, moving to Nashville for college, and Brooklyn thereafter.
Now based in New York’s Hudson Valley, Denitia’s portfolio of work reveals melodic stories spanning states, cities, and times. In her latest release, she takes listeners on a drive through the lanes of love and longing over the course of American grandeur. Fusing elements of country, folk and rock, Denitia establishes a newfound American utopia, ongoing and indefinite, uplifted by wistful vocals and the chimes of a tambourine.
With her songs as mantras, Denitia aims to reimagine what it means to be home.
