"I know a place in the river / We can swim but we can’t swim back / Have I fallen in love with this dream / We never had?"
The cool sonic darkness, midnight madness, hypnotic shower spiral of "Too Long in Brooklyn" by Slow Code is a song that has it's way with you. It's allure may capture you like slow motion inebriation with a comely other in a nameless city or nameless venue or it might stick in your head like a fever dream as you stare at the ceiling. Highly cinematic it also feels like the theme from an upcoming Netflix or Hulu binger. Yes, highly cinematic. The vocal countenance, slightly bruised but impassioned and sometimes held up from it's drunken stumble by a female voice are both actually the anchors of the song as the underwater guitar warbles and drones of massive synths, machine beat and evocative ambience start to chase the pair.
Lovely.
"Hi there - excited to share my 7th single with you. This track's a personal one that I think many can relate to. It's about growing older while living (maybe too long) in the cool part of town. " - slow code

This is the 7th release from Slow Code and perhaps the most realized iteration of the evolving sound. As the title suggests it's about the all-too-relatable feeling of growing older in the cool part of town.
