"The depth of the electronica and guitar strikes are saturated with such interesting glazing..."
The pulsing sci-fi mystery and magnetism of "Summertime", by Hamilton, Ontario Canada's Strange Process, floats in sonically rich waves with dark abstractions and trip hop beats. In a pure escapist / surreal way, I am appreciating the sounds here. The depth of the electronica and guitar strikes are saturated with such interesting glazing whether it is a kind of electronic damper to synth notes adding a tactile sort of inhalation, to the other synth drones that feel like brass in harmony with each other, to the lower bottom end tones that support tonally while at times diving and darting away from the core progression, it all feels like a galaxy of sounds to look at. A spectral show in space to gaze at and be taken aback.
