AP Track Review
On the track, Blue Moon, you hear the sound of Church organs swelling and then Abraham's darkly lit voice, her lilt, her melodies feel a bit sideways. Beautiful, yet sideways and when the sort of slow gallop of a beat with the languid cool bass adds more atmosphere the beauty feels ethereal but dark. I actually thought of the normalcy of life with skeletons in the closet in a sort of David Lynch way. Maybe it is just me but I don't think so. I think Abraham's sound holds pain within it's very beautiful embrace. Complex and, again, beautiful.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
Intimate, authentic and powerful are the perfect words to describe this dark, alt folk artist’s sound. Abraham has become known for moving audiences to tears. Her unique voice and vulnerable lyrics, hold listeners and carry them on a journey through time and feeling. There is a strength in feeling deeply, and in exploring the depths of our nature, of human pain, trauma and triumph. The honesty and emotional fierceness in Abraham’s voice channels that exploration. Quietly working away, gaining impressive traction since her first release in 2014, she has since toured throughout and across Canada on several occasions. Been invited to play at some of Canada’s largest, and most coveted music festivals (Sunfest Country Music Festival, Westward Fest, CMW, Rifflandia, Song & Surf, Tiny Lights) and shared the stage with some of BC’ s major and budding indie talents along the way. (Haley Blais, Jordan Klassen, Luca Fogale, Fionn).
Receiving regular rotation on college stations across Canada for songs off her first release, she is currently in the studio gearing for an exciting year. Based in Victoria, this young artist blends a low-fi nuance with uniquely crafted folk songs, full of pop sensibility and powerfully emotive lyrics. Likened to that of Feist, Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.
