"da da da daaah duh duh"
Listen to the hard but fluid rock of the song Cherry Garcia and you might think "Mommy, we're not in Kansas anymore" and while that might be the right response in that you might be hearing something different, you would in fact be right in Kansas (in a sense) because The Junos are, in fact, an alternative rock trio from Kansas.
Cherry Garcia has a lot of tones going on from the very onset, some of the vibes (like the high tom strikes and synth sounds) feel kind of rock / pop 80's and other sounds, like Jesse Gray's cool croon, feel contemporary and indie rockish and then there is a kind of tightly wound progressiveness to it all that conjures up 70's rock with psychedelia sprinkled all over it. It is nice to hear a guitar lead within this kind of blendo rock too. Hmmmmm, mama, maybe we are not in Kansas anymore (indeed).
The Junos are Jesse Gray (guitar, singer /songwriter), Darin Stephens (drums) and Dalton Ochs (bass). The trio is working on an album with a tentative release this year.

The Junos are an independent alternative rock trio from Kansas. They are known as a group that “writes like Tame Impala & jams like Zeppelin.”
Guitarist/singer/songwriter Jesse Gray, drummer Darin Stephens, and bassist Dalton Ochs found their niche in creating extended, powerful, raw live performances out of the original tunes recorded by Jesse.
The band is unsigned and independent, and stands proudly by that choice. The recordings take place in Jesse's bedroom studio, with the aid of vintage-style musical equipment, and various methods and tricks that some would call unorthadox but that get the job done.
Writing of their debut album begun in late 2019, and the ablum is expected to be released in 2020, accompanied by multiple singles.
Their debut single “Road Trippin’” was released on 5/8/20 accompanied by a music video that quickly made its way in front of thousands of eyes.
Their sophomore single “Cherry Garcia” is set to release on 6/5/20.
